Dr. Richard E. Umbach

Dr. Richard E. Umbach, a native of Alabama, holds 26 years of expertise in the practice of Cardiology. He received a B.S. in biology from Auburn University and a medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Dr. Umbach completed his internship, his residency and his fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Juk, Dr. Hearon, and Dr. Umbach established Columbia Cardiology Associates in 1977 and joined Columbia Cardiology in 2002. Dr. Umbach is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He is currently a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the South Carolina Medical Association and the Medical Society of Columbia.
