Dr. Joseph James Lawton III
Dr. Joseph James Lawton, III, a native of South Carolina, received a
B.A. in french from Duke University in Durham, NC and a medical degree
from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, where
he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His
cardiology training was completed at the University of North Carolina,
UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. He is Board Certified in
Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal
Medicine. In 2000, Dr. Lawton served as Chief of Cardiology at
Providence Hospital. He is published in Catherization & Cardiovascular
Digest and Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management. Dr. Lawton is a
fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the
American Medical Association, the American Heart Association, the
American Society of Echocardiography, and the American College of
Physicians. Special interest in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral
Vascular Disease Diagnosis and Intervention.
